As a Mercy Health associate, you will provide compassionate, professional care and maintain clear documentation, while collaborating with the care team to ensure patient safety and comfort in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Basic patient care under RN guidance.
• BLS preferred on hire; obtain before direct patient care.
• Acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care including comfort, vitals, hygiene, and mobility assistance.
• Act as liaison between patient and nurse to report changes or concerns.
• Deliver high-level customer service to patients, families, visitors, and staff.
• Document patient care accurately and promptly.
• Participate in hand-offs and report pertinent information.
• Perform delegated tasks once competency is validated.
• Mobilize patients using safe transfer techniques.
• Encourage patients to participate in tasks to foster independence.
• Individualize care based on patient interests and needs.
