Job summary

CHOC Children's in Orange, CA seeks a Surgical Scrub Tech II for the Main OR night shift. You will assist the surgical team by handling instruments, supplies, and equipment, ensuring sterile technique and patient safety throughout operative cases.

This role requires at least two years of OR experience, a BLS certification, and graduation from a Surgical Technology program or military training; college degree is a plus. The position offers full-time hours with 3 night shifts per week.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of operating room experience.
• BLS certification required.
• Graduate of Surgical Technology program or military training.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Certified Surgical Tech preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handles surgical instruments, supplies, and necessary equipment during procedures.
• Ensures sterile technique and readiness of instruments for all cases.
• Anticipates the needs of the surgeon and supports the operative team.
• May precept new technicians and students in the department.
