Job summary

CHOC Orange is seeking a Surgical Scrub Technician II to support the OR and Procedure Center team. You will anticipate surgeon needs, prepare instruments, and ensure sterile technique during endoscopic and open procedures.

With at least two years of surgical tech experience and a current BLS certification, you will assist with endoscopy, OB-related cases, and patient positioning, while handling on-call duties and equipment readiness.

Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years of Surgical Technician experience.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Endoscopy orientation or surgery orientation training completed preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively with surgical team and maintain flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary scrub person and handle instruments during endoscopic and surgical procedures.
• Assist in OB procedures and select equipment according to patient needs and surgeon preference.
• Precept new technicians and students; participate in on-call coverage.
