Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse for Labor and Delivery and postpartum care in Evanston and Highland Park Hospitals. Night shifts, weekend and holiday requirements apply as per level agreement.

Candidates must have IL licensure, NLN-accredited nursing education, and 2+ years of acute care L&D/postpartum/ISCU experience. Per Diem Level 1–3 hours per 6-week schedule vary by level.

Qualifications

• Current IL nursing license required.
• NLN-accredited nursing program graduation; BSN strongly preferred.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP certifications required (AHA).
• Minimum two years of recent acute care experience in Labor & Delivery/Postpartum/ISCU.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective nursing care for labor and delivery and postpartum patients.
• Apply the nursing process to plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Supervise assigned unlicensed personnel delivering interdisciplinary patient care.
• Communicate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.
• Promote safety and high-quality patient experience.
