Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in Texas is seeking a Perinatal Registered Nurse to provide independent nursing care in a perinatal setting. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, while coordinating with a multidisciplinary team to meet patient needs.

The role requires a BSN (preferred), 1 year of perinatal experience, and current STABLE/NRP certifications. Expect a night shift from 7PM to 7AM in a full-time capacity, with orientation and competency validation completing within specified

Qualifications

BSN degree preferred
1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred
Current STABLE certification required
RN License in state of employment or compact
New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire
Initial competency validation and Perinatal Services-specific competency validation
Annual competency verification requirements
Perinatal RN Residency or recently practicing in a Perinatal setting is preferred
ACLS/PALS/NRP/TNCC/TCAR grace periods policy timelines may apply

Responsibilities

Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process for assigned patients.
Administers medications and treatments; monitors for side-effects and effectiveness.
Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members and/or care givers.
