CHRISTUS Health seeks a skilled Perinatal RN to provide independent nursing care in a perinatal setting, coordinating with a team to manage complex clinical situations. The role emphasizes assessment, planning, and evaluation of patient care, with delegation as needed.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN, has BLS, a valid RN license, and may have a Perinatal RN Residency or recent perinatal experience. New nurses complete orientation within 30 days, with ongoing competency validations.

Qualificações

• BLS required
• RN License in state of employment or compact
• Perinatal RN Residency or recently practicing in a Perinatal Setting preferred
• Current certifications: AWHONN Intermediate FHM or related, NRP, ACLS
• Completion of annual competency verification requirements
• Grace periods for credentials as per policy

Responsabilidades

• Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Using the nursing process, provide assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administers medications and treatments using appropriate protocols; monitor side-effects and effectiveness.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families and caregivers.
