Job summary

Cox Automotive is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and light repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, manage parts on a service truck, and document findings using the TRAIT app on an iOS device.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED and 3 years’ related experience, with ASE certifications preferred and a DOT background check. Flexible work option and travel involved.

Qualifications

• DOT inspections and PM inspections are required.
• Candidate must meet DOT/FMCSA requirements and safety standards.
• ASE certifications are preferred or required within 18 months where stated.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and DOT inspections on vehicles in field.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, cooling, and engine systems.
• Document work and upload RO data using company tools.
