Tufts Medicine in Lowell, MA is seeking a MedSurg Float Pool RN to support MedSurg and mixed acuity units across Lowell General Hospital campuses. This role requires night shifts, weekend and holiday rotation, and a two-campus float between Main and Saints campuses.

The job emphasizes professional nursing care, patient assessments, care planning, discharge planning, and ongoing education, with opportunities for advancement through the Clinical Advancement Program and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts RN licensure required.
• Current BLS certification.
• Department-specific: certifications relevant to the department may be required.
• Experience level varies by level I–IV.

Responsabilités

• Participates in performance improvement initiatives.
• Conscientiously evaluates and integrates evidence-based practice into clinical practice.
• Conducts and documents accurate clinical assessments.
• Develops, implements, and evaluates the patient’s individualized plan of care.
• Uses professional nursing judgment to individualize the plan of care based on assessment.
• Manages own patient assignment based on patient needs and team skills.
• Develops a comprehensive educational plan for patient and family and documents per standards.
• Supports patient/family rights and informed decisions.
• Continuously evaluates and revises the care plan as health status changes.
• Develops discharge plans utilizing resources and referrals.
