Job summary

Boston Medical Center in Boston is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Med/Surge Float Pool. This 36-hour, day/night rotation role offers exposure to medical and surgical adult patients and a collaborative, patient-centered care environment.

The position requires MA RN licensure, BLS (ACLS preferred in some units), and 1+ years of RN experience. EHR proficiency and strong communication are essential to support high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in Massachusetts
• 1+ years RN experience preferred
• BLS certification required; ACLS required in certain units
• Nursing degree: Diploma/ASN/BSN preferred; BSN encouraged within 4 years
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and basic computer tasks

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in Medical/Surgical units, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and education
• Communicate with health care team members, patients, and families
• Coordinate and delegate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues
• Update and manage patient records
• Enter and interpret computerized data
• Follow BMCHS nursing guidelines and policies
• Support leadership with quality improvement initiatives
