Boston Medical Center invites passionate Registered Nurses to join the Med/Surg Float Pool. You will support medical/surgical and IMCU patients, including pediatric over 15, with a 24 hour night schedule and every third weekend.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice as a registered nurse in MA.
• BLS certification required; ACLS in certain units.
• Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred).
• Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years.
• Excellent communication and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in Medical Surgical units and IMCU.
• Assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, evaluate, and educate patients.
• Communicate with healthcare team, patients, and families.
• Coordinate and delegate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues.
• Update and manage patient records and data.
• Follow BMC nursing guidelines and participate in quality improvement.
