Job summary

Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital in Jamaica Plain, MA, is seeking a Staff Nurse for the 6 North unit to provide patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.

The Staff Nurse will plan and deliver care to adults and older adults, including patients with CHF, diabetes and pneumonia. Night shifts, 36-hour weekly schedule, and every-other weekend/holiday rotation are required. Strong clinical skills, teamwork, and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• Massachusetts Registered Nurse Licensure required.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers preferred.
• Med./surg./Tele. experience strongly preferred.
• Adheres to ICARE standards.
• Evidence of analytic thinking to care for a group of patients.
• Demonstrate observational skills and the ability to set priorities.
• Ability to function under stress with good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must demonstrate effective skills in applying hospital standards in area of service, teamwork, communication, respect for others, and time/priority management.
