Boston Medical Center seeks a Registered Nurse for the 6 West Telemetry unit, a 32-bed Med-Surgical area. Schedule: 36 Hour Nights with 12 Hour Shifts. The role delivers comprehensive nursing care, supports patient families, and participates in quality improvement initiatives.

Required MA RN licensure, BLS and ACLS within 90 days, and PCC certification within 1 year of hire. Diploma/ASN/BSN education is expected, with BSN preferred and potential to pursue BSN within 4 years.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice as a registered nurse in Massachusetts (MA).
• BLS required; ACLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• PCC certification required within 1 year of hire.
• Experience: 1+ years of RN experience preferred.
• Education: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred); ability to obtain BSN within 4 years.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in Medical Surgical, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and education.
• Communicate with health care team members, patients, and families.
• Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues.
• Update and manage patient records.
• Enter and interpret computerized data/information.
• Follow guidelines and policies established by SEMC’s nursing organization.
• Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects.
