Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Cardiology/Telemetry Unit (6 West Telemetry) on a 36-hour night schedule in Boston, MA. You will deliver comprehensive nursing care, assess and educate patients, and collaborate with an inter-professional team to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Required MA RN licensure, BLS; ACLS within 90 days; PCC within 1 year; and 1+ year of RN experience preferred. Diploma/ASN/BSN preferred, with BSN within 4 years encouraged.

Qualifications

• Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred); ability to obtain BSN within 4 years.
• Licensed to practice as RN in MA.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• PCC certification required within 1 year of hire.
• 1+ years RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in Medical-Surgical units, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and patient education.
• Communicate with health care team, patients, and families.
• Coordinate and delegate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues.
• Update and manage patient records.
• Enter and interpret computerized data/information.
• Follow BMCHS guidelines and policies.
• Assist leadership with quality improvement projects.
