Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn is seeking a Nursing Attendant for the Med Surg Float Night Shift. In this role you will assist in implementing the nursing process, provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of the RN, and help maintain a safe, orderly care environment.

Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent; CNA program completion or at least 6 months relevant experience; BLS/Heartsaver CPR‑AED certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of CNA program or minimum 6 months relevant experience.
• BLS/Heartsaver CPR‑AED certification (required on entry).
• Strong English communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission/transfer/discharge and orients patients to the hospital environment.
• Performs patient rounds for toileting, positioning, comfort, safety and needs.
• Assists with basic hygiene, meals, and simple treatments under RN supervision.
• Maintains safe and clean patient care areas and reports changes to the RN.
