Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn seeks a Nursing Attendant for Med Surg Float Night shift. You will assist in patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, supporting admissions, rounds, hygiene, and safety to ensure a calm, safe hospital environment.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a Certified Nursing Attendant credential or 6 months' experience, with CPR/BLS certification. English proficiency and strong customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of Certified Nursing Attendant program or minimum 6 months relevant experience.
• BLS or Heartsaver CPR/AED certification required or on entry to the position.
• English proficiency evident in verbal, reading and writing abilities; other language an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Admission/Transfer/Discharge of patients and orient to the hospital environment.
• Conduct patient rounds for toileting, positioning, safety and personal needs.
• Prepare bedside units and assist in moving and safeguarding personal belongings.
• Provide basic hygiene and daily care, including feeding assistance as needed.
• Assist with simple treatments and monitors under RN supervision.
• Report changes in patient condition to the RN and maintain a safe environment.
