Seton Medical Center Harker Heights in Texas is seeking a Night Shift Medical Surgical Charge Nurse to lead the Med/Surg unit at our 83-bed acute care hospital.

You will coordinate staffing, assignments, and operations, serve as resource nurse, and help drive performance improvement while ensuring patient safety and regulatory compliance.

Requirements include Texas RN licensure, current BLS and ACLS, and a minimum of one year in Med/Surg; BSN expected within four years of hire.

Formación

• Completion of education to obtain Texas Licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• RN with Texas Board of Nursing – OR – current home state license is required for multi-state license recognition through the Nurse Licensure Compact.
• BSN degree expected within four years of hire with Seton Medical Center Harker Heights.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role.
• ACLS through American Heart Association required upon hire.
• Minimum of one year of Med/Surg hospital experience.

Responsabilidades

• This position serves as the clinical leader for operations and management of the Med/Surg unit.
• The Charge Nurse coordinates shift operations, makes assignments, coordinates care, and ensures regulatory compliance.
• The Charge Nurse participates in staffing decisions and performs rounding on patients.
• Leads employee evaluations, corrective action, budgeting, and performance improvement.
