Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician for the night shift to provide sterilized instruments, supplies, and equipment to the operating room and other hospital areas.

The role may serve as lead technician on the shift, ensuring adherence to sterile processing procedures and infection control standards while supporting team training and safety across departments.

Qualifications

• Must have at least two years of experience sterilizing instruments, equipment and supplies.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions in English.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to lift and move supplies and equipment with others.
• Demonstrated basic computer skills.
• Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication; team-oriented.
• Maintain composure in stressful situations and provide reliable customer service.

Responsabilités

• May function as lead technician/charge person on the shift as needed.
• Organize and sterilize instruments and equipment per hospital standards; select cleaning agents and prepare for sterilization.
• Maintain equipment and records; report repairs and monitor quality control and infection control standards.
• Communicate delays or equipment issues to Operating Room and other departments.
• Support ongoing staff development and serve as a resource to less experienced colleagues.
• Ensure safe, compassionate patient care and adherence to Memorial Hermann policies.
