Job summary

Memorial Healthcare System is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to support the Sterile Processing and Distribution area. This role covers Monday to Friday nights (11 pm–7:30 am) with weekend rotation and on-call responsibilities.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 1 year of experience in sterile processing or a related field, with the ability to follow established policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1 year of experience in sterile processing or a related field is preferred.
• Ability to follow department policies and procedures for decontamination and processing of medical products.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a resource to staff regarding departmental policies and services for decontamination and processing of medical products.
• Prioritizes multiple tasks to ensure timely completion.
• Delegates and assigns work commensurate with knowledge, skill and experience, ensuring proper execution.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to assist with problem identification, cost containment issues and performance measures.
