Job summary

HNL Lab Medicine in Allentown, PA is seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform high-, moderate-, and waived-testing on the night shift with alternating weekends and holiday rotation. You will work independently, communicate findings, and assist physicians with data interpretation.

Requirements include an Associate’s degree in MLT and CLIA high-complexity testing capability. ASCP/ASMT/NCA certification is preferred. Strong communication and computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in MLT from an accredited program.
• CLIA high complexity testing capability required.
• Certification by a recognized body preferred (ASCP, ASMT, NCA).
• Ability to read and interpret scientific and technical material.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs high, moderate, or waived testing per SOPs.
• Recognizes and corrects instrument malfunctions and documents results.
• Confirms, verifies and reports test results independently.
• Monitors results for reasonableness and critical values.
• Provides orientation and training to new staff.
