HNL Lab Medicine in Allentown, PA is seeking a Laboratory Technologist to perform high, moderate, and waived tests with independence and accuracy. You will operate advanced instrumentation, interpret data, and report results to physicians in a timely manner.

Onsite role with schedule rotation to cover weekends/holidays as needed. The role requires a BS in Medical Technology or related field and CLIA high-complexity certification or eligibility, with strong emphasis on quality control and CSI

Qualifications

• Must meet CLIA 88 personnel requirements for high complexity testing.
• Bachelor’s degree in medical technology or related science from an accredited institution.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical information.
• Ability to respond to inquiries from customers, regulatory agencies, or business colleagues.
• Mathematical ability to work with probability, statistics, and geometry.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, and email; familiarity with LIS.
• Certification by a recognized certifying agency (ASCP, ASMT, NCA) preferred.

Responsabilités

• Performs high, moderate, or waived testing per SOPs with independent judgment.
• Recognizes and corrects instrument malfunctions; records troubleshooting steps.
• Verifies and reports results; monitors for reasonableness and critical values.
• Correlates data and assists physicians in result interpretation.
• Performs quality control, process improvement activities, and CSI initiatives.
• Provides clinical orientation and training to new staff or students.
• Prepares and collects specimens for analysis.
• Contributes to competency assessments and ongoing education.
