Dallas Behavioral Healthcare Hospital in Texas is seeking an Intake Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care per hospital policy and procedure. You will assess patient care needs, plan and implement nursing care procedures, evaluate progress, and modify care plans as necessary; you will teach patients and families and supervise nursing support staff.

• ADN or BSN from an accredited college or university.
• CPR, Behavior Managing Program (obtained within 30 days upon hire)

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct care to patients, including supervising medication schedules and evaluating progress.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary professionals to determine best care for patients.
• Maintain a safe environment.
• Provide social support and encourage participation in groups and therapies.
• Conduct intake assessments through interviews with patients and relatives.
• Plan and provide nursing care and diagnoses; recommend treatments.
• Consult with psychiatrists and other behavioral health staff in designing treatment plans.
• Administer and document medications and reactions; arrange further medical attention when needed.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and accurate records.
• Comply with laws, rules, and hospital policies and keep charts up to date.
• Educate patients and families about care plans.
• Screen for crisis and provide appropriate intervention.
