Job summary

Perimeter Behavioral Hospital of Dallas is seeking an Intake Registered Nurse to join the admissions team in Garland, Texas. You will assist in receiving, scheduling and triaging inbound calls and referrals for inpatient behavioral health services.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have a valid RN license with the State of Texas.
• Experience in behavioral health assessment and/or treatment.
• At least one-year previous experience in an acute behavioral health hospital preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive referral calls and schedule assessments; triage appropriately.
• Process requests for information and external referrals.
• Complete pre-certifications as needed.
• Arrange admission and verify patient benefits; coordinate with physicians and case managers.
• Manage releases of information and obtain records as required.
• Maintain statistics and support data reporting.
• Provide 85% direct patient care including assessment, diagnosis and treatment.
