Job summary

Dallas Behavioral Healthcare Hospital in Mississippi seeks an Intake RN to provide professional nursing care, assess patient needs, plan and implement care, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a behavioral health setting.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, supervision of staff, conducting intake assessments, coordinating psychiatric treatment plans, administering psychotropic medications, maintaining charts, ensuring safety, and complying with relevant laws.

Qualifications

• ADN or BSN from an accredited college or university.
• Required Licenses: Valid Texas RN license in good standing. BLS, ACLS, CPI certifications a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in behavioral health, phone triage, tele-health or case management.
• Must be 21 years old or older.
• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) a plus
• Knowledge of patient rights, mental health laws, and psychiatric nursing terminology.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients and supervise medication schedules.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary professionals to determine best care for patients.
• Maintain a safe environment and document patient progress.
• Conduct intake assessments with patients and relatives to gather case history.
• Plan and provide nursing care; administer and monitor medications.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and accurate medical records.
