Job summary

Perimeter Behavioral Hospital of Dallas is seeking an Intake Registered Nurse to support admissions by triaging calls, scheduling assessments, and coordinating with the care team in Garland, Texas. You will play a key role in obtaining information, arranging admissions, and guiding patients through the intake process.

Qualified candidates hold a Texas RN license with experience in behavioral health assessment and a preference for at least one year in an acute behavioral health hospital.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid RN license with the State of Texas.
• Experience in behavioral health assessment and/or treatment preferred.
• At least one year of experience in an acute behavioral health hospital is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive referral calls, obtain demographic information, and refer or schedule assessments.
• Process requests for information and external referrals; complete pre-certifications as needed.
• Assist in arranging admission, verify benefits, and communicate with the Treatment Coordinator as directed by the Case Manager.
• Determine releases of information needed and process them per policy; obtain records as required.
• Maintain statistics and support data collection for outcomes studies and reporting.
• Collaborate with Utilization Review, Business Office, and other staff to ensure smooth operations.
