Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Night Shift Security Officer to protect hospitals, parking facilities, staff and visitors across multiple sites. You will patrol buildings, grounds, and work sites, respond to alarms, and assist in evacuations when needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year Security, Law Enforcement, Corrections or Military experience, or graduation from a Law Enforcement academy.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and make critical decisions.
• Knowledge of LVHN Emergency codes and response protocols.
• Ability to troubleshoot access control and alarm systems.
• Proper use of security equipment.
• DL - PA Driver's License upon hire.
• BLS, CHSO, and BCCM certifications within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Helps mitigate threats to safety of staff, patients, visitors, and property.
• Intervenes when suspicious or abnormal behavior occurs and detains persons if needed.
• Conducts patrols of hospital, satellite facilities, parking lots and grounds; reports hazards.
• Maintains and operates vehicles and shuttles safely; ensures vehicle condition and cleanliness.
• Performs initial inquiries for administrative and potential criminal complaints; reports findings.
• Responds to coded alarms and provides security escorts when requested.
• Assists with evacuations in emergencies requiring strength and flexibility.
• Maintains high visibility to deter undesired activity and provide assistance.
