Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer for a Full Time Hospital Security Detail in Memphis, TN. You will monitor, patrol, and assist patients, visitors, and staff while upholding hospital policies and safety procedures.

This role offers a night shift schedule (Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM) with a pay rate of $17.91 per hour. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma, ability to pass a background check and

Qualifications

• Must be able to meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be able to work in a hospital morgue environment.
• Must be able to restrain individuals.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, hospital policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and maintain clear communication with hospital staff, Allied Universal leadership, and emergency responders as needed.
