Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Part Time Hospital Security in Memphis, TN. You will patrol healthcare facilities, assist patients, visitors, and staff, and maintain a visible security presence to deter incidents.

Position offers part-time hours with flexibility, including a structured schedule and opportunities for growth within a leading security services company. Vaccination and health requirements apply; strong customer service background preferred.

Qualifications

• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be able to work in and around a hospital morgue.
• Must be able to restrain individuals when necessary.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, surrounding grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific requirements, and report unusual conditions or maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Document patrol observations, incidents, and daily activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
