Job summary

The Florida Medical Clinic seeks an Administrative Supervisor for the Emergency Services department in Wesley Chapel, FL. This nights shift role provides off-shift management and operational oversight to ensure safe, efficient patient flow in a busy acute care hospital setting.

You will coordinate staffing with department leadership, serve as a leadership resource, and respond to emergencies while maintaining documentation and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Education/Training Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Licensure: Florida RN; National Certification in specialty area within 2 years.
• BLS; ACLS/PALS/NALS/TNCC as determined by specialty area.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a clinical resource agent to nursing units and allied health departments for problem solving, within a given shift.
• Ensures safe and timely patient flow throughout the facility and coordinates intrasystem transfers.
• Participates in clinical observation and assessment for patients to determine level of care.
• Provides oversight of staffing resources in coordination with department leadership.
• Ensures a visible leadership presence throughout the facility and shift.
• Serves as a first responder for all emergency code events and house alerts.
• Completes documentation per shift for patient census, events and flow outcomes, using EHR and bed management programs.
• Serves as a leadership resource for policy, procedure, and regulatory compliance.
• Manages HR functions including interviewing, onboarding, evaluating, and corrective actions.
• Provides crisis management support and coordinates follow-up actions with the Administrator-on-Call.

Education

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing

Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred

RN licensure in Florida

National Certification in specialty area within 2 years
