Job summary

Ascent Hospitality is seeking a Night Auditor to join our Birmingham property, coordinating front desk operations overnight while upholding service standards. You will balance day’s accounts, assist guests, handle check-ins/outs, upsell revenue opportunities, and maintain security and accurate records to protect hotel assets and ensure guest satisfaction.

Strong communication, reliability, and basic computer skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently through the night shift

Qualifications

• Previous Front Desk Agent experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to understand, read, write and speak English.
• Familiar with computer operation.
• Familiar with office equipment (copier, printer, fax, telephone).
• Must be able to work independently and provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Balancing the accounts from day shift.
• Welcome guests upon their arrival and assign rooms.
• Manage front desk activity and handling guest check-ins and check-outs.
• Inform customers about payment methods and verify IDs.
• Register guests collecting necessary information (contact details and stay dates).
• Scheduling wake-up calls and other guest requests.
• Respond to guest complaints professionally.
• Create invoices, bills and checks for vendors and staff.
• Maintain end-of-day audit function and record daily financial transactions.
• Answer calls and inquiries about bookings.
• Provide information about hotel, rooms, rates and amenities.
• Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure rooms are ready by check-in and departed rooms are ready by check-out.
• Confirm group reservations and arrange personalized experiences for guests.
