Job summary

Werner Enterprises in Dallas, TX is seeking a logistics supervisor to build and maintain driver relationships, address home time, payroll, equipment issues, and safety concerns. You will partner with Dedicated and Associate Logistics Managers to optimize loads and ensure service excellence for our customers.

The role requires a bachelor's degree and 6 months to 1 year of supervisory experience, with strong organizational and leadership skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Admin, Marketing or Transportation/Logistics preferred.
Six months to one year of supervisory experience preferred.
Experience in fleet management or truckload transportation.
Strong organizational and system skills.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain driver relationships, addressing home time, payroll, equipment issues, and safety concerns.
Partner with the Dedicated and Associate Logistics Managers to optimize driver loads based on origin, destination, freight type, miles, stops.
Understand and adhere to customer dynamics and service expectations to improve value for the Customer and Werner.
Interface with billing, vans, customer service, risk, safety, payroll, fuel, maintenance, and external vendors.
Work with the Dedicated Logistics Manager to fill and maintain a full board of drivers.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Dedicated Logistics Manager.
Ensure timely and regular attendance per shift.
