Job summary

Werner Enterprises in Dallas, TX is seeking a Logistics Supervisor focused on building and maintaining driver relationships and optimizing loads. You will work with Dedicated and Associate Logistics Managers to align driver needs with freight requirements, while interfacing with billing, safety, payroll, and maintenance teams.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent fleet management experience, with supervisory capabilities and strong organizational, computer terminal, and satellite

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 2–3 years of fleet management/transportation experience preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred (6 months to 1 year).
• Strong organizational and computer terminal/satellite communications skills required.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain driver relationships through understanding and meeting driver needs using our systems and communications methods.
• Partner with Dedicated and Associate Logistics Managers to optimize driver loads based on origin, destination, freight type, miles, stops, and directions.
• Understand and adhere to customer dynamics and service expectations to improve value for the Customer and Werner.
• Interface with departments such as billing, vans, customer service, risk, safety, payroll, fuel, maintenance, and external vendors.
• Collaborate with the Logistics Manager to fill and maintain a full board of drivers and perform related duties as assigned.
• Maintain timely attendance according to the scheduled shift.
