Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum two years’ experience in Customer Service and Import Documentation.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Typing 40–45 wpm and 10-key by touch.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all documentation is submitted timely, as required.
• Check documents, make necessary corrections, and distribute them to corresponding customers to meet their deadlines.
• Collect Bills of Ladings for all assigned customers; check the information on all documentation for accuracy and disseminates for processing.
• Inform all customers of cargo arrivals/departures, via email/fax with an arrival/departure notice and a copy of the bill of lading. Securing confirmation and file in the master file.
• Secure original bills of lading properly endorsed, and delivery orders.
• Check that cargo is properly released.
• Work hand in hand with truck drivers
• Consolidates orders into truckloads for specific destinations.
• Coordinate and enter all data into computer system.
• Heavy phone communications answering any questions and informing customers of situations.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
