Job summary

Forward Air Corp. is seeking a dependable Forklift Operator to safely load, unload, and move freight in a multimodal terminal in Nashville, TN. The role requires standing for long hours and operating sit-down/stand-up forklifts with accuracy and safety.

Schedule: Sunday-Thursday 12:00am-8:00am, onsite. Compensation: $20.00 per hour with a $3 night differential. You will help ensure productive dock operations while complying with PPE and OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience operating sit-down/stand-up forklifts and reach trucks.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Proficiency in basic math and freight documentation.
• Strong attention to accuracy and time management.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using forklifts and other MHE.
• Move, stage, sort, and position freight between dock doors and designated areas.
• Pick, pack, and prepare items for shipping.
• Label, scan, and track freight for accuracy.
• Identify damaged freight and report issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized dock environment and follow safety policies.
