Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking a Maintenance Technician for its Malta Fab8 site. You will monitor, sustain and improve manufacturing equipment, performing preventative and corrective maintenance and troubleshooting using mechanical, electronic and PC skills.

The role requires reading instructions, working safely in a cleanroom, and coordinating with lead engineers. Relocation support and strong training opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Degree (or equivalent).
• Experience: Electrical or mechanical background; 2-year technical degree or 4 years of relevant experience.
• Language: English (Written & Verbal).
• Able to work in a cleanroom environment per semiconductor protocol.

Responsibilities

• Monitor equipment performance, schedule and perform preventative and corrective maintenance.
• Use mechanical, electronic and PC/software skills to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
• Communicate updates on equipment status to the Lead Tech/Engineer.
• Follow detailed instructions and procedures to complete tasks.
• Work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Recover equipment from process interruptions and document events; perform end-of-shift pass downs.
