Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking a Maintenance Technician for its Malta site Fab 8, a 300mm leading-edge semiconductor manufacturing facility. You will monitor, sustain, and improve equipment and processes, collaborating with production teams and area engineers to ensure reliable operation.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on assigned tools, communicate updates clearly, and support a safe, cleanroom environment.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Degree or equivalent.
• Experience: Electrical or mechanical background.
• 2-year technical degree or 2 years of military or 4 years of relevant experience.
• Able to work in a cleanroom environment and wear required PPE.
• Flexible to work 3-4 days alternating weeks (day/night).
• Basic reading/writing and computer navigation skills.
• English language proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, sustain, and improve equipment and processes in assigned area.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment per SOPs.
• Troubleshoot equipment using mechanical, electrical, and PC skills.
• Communicate updates on equipment status to Lead Tech/Engineer.
• Support Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements.
