Job summary

BD is hiring a highly skilled Electromechanical Technician for the night shift in Columbus, Nebraska. The role focuses on maintaining and optimizing production equipment, supporting automated systems, and ensuring safety and quality across operations.

You will troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems, program PLCs, and work with robotics and machine vision to improve line performance. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in electromechanical technology or related field required.
• Experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of PLCs, robotics, and automation is highly desirable.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Ability to analyze problems and implement solutions.

Responsibilities

• Support process improvements involving mechanical, electrical, controls, robotics and vision tech.
• Troubleshoot and maintain electrical and mechanical equipment including motors and drives.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize reliability.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair PLCs and control systems.
• Maintain robotic systems and automated manufacturing equipment.
• Manage machine spare parts inventory and train operators.
