Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking a skilled Electro-Mechanical Technician (EMT) for a food manufacturing environment in Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of hands-on experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and mechanical systems in a production setting.

This third-shift role (9 PM–5 AM) offers a competitive salary of $72,000–$78,000 per year and requires GMP/HACCP familiarity, 3‑phase systems, VFDs, PLCs, and OSHA training.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years EMT experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, SQF, etc.
• Proven ability to work with 3-phase systems, VFDs, PLC-controlled equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on production and facility equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Install and maintain motors, sensors, drives, conveyors, gearboxes, and automated equipment.
• Use diagnostic tools such as multimeters, PLC interfaces, and motor testers.
• Follow GMP, HACCP, and other food safety protocols during all maintenance work.
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Maintain proper documentation of maintenance activities using CMMS (e.g., UpKeep, SAP, or other platforms).
