Job summary

SURGE Staffing is seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical Technician for a night shift in a high-speed manufacturing environment. You will maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve complex production equipment to keep operations safe and efficient.

The role requires hands-on experience with PLCs, VFDs, motors, HMIs, controls, pneumatics, and instrumentation. You will diagnose problems, respond to breakdowns, and work with production teams to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associate degree or technical education a plus.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Experience maintaining manufacturing or industrial production equipment.
Experience with PLCs and industrial controls.
Experience with Allen-Bradley PLC systems preferred.
Knowledge of VFDs, motors, HMIs, servo drives, and automation equipment.
Experience troubleshooting 480V, 3-phase electrical systems.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and control-system issues.
Diagnose equipment breakdowns and make timely repairs to minimize downtime.
Troubleshoot PLC programming and Allen-Bradley systems as needed.
Replace and install electrical panels, motors, and control equipment.
Read electrical schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
Document maintenance work and inventory levels.
Coordinate preventive maintenance with production and management.
