Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a dock worker to move freight across the dock area and load trailers, with a starting rate of $27.02 per hour and a night shift from 18:00 to 02:30. The role is based in a dock/warehousing environment in the United States.

Key duties include operating forklifts and pallet jacks, verifying documentation, securing freight in trailers, and completing reports and paperwork for shipments. Prior warehouse experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Prior warehousing or freight handling experience preferred.
• Ability to lift/carry varying weights and operate manual equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift, pallet jack and hand truck to move freight.
• Verify freight documentation matches description (type, weight, hazmat).
• Secure freight inside trailers using pallets, straps or rope.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight as needed.
• Complete required documentation and reports.
• Assist customers with freight and paperwork as needed.
• Perform hostling duties if required.
• Comply with laws, regulations and company policies.
