Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. is seeking a Dock Worker to move freight across the dock area and assist with loading to trailers. The role includes operating forklift and other equipment, verifying freight documents, and ensuring safe, accurate handling of shipments.

Starting pay is $21.16 per hour with a range to $24.75 per hour. Shift time is 0500-1000, with benefits such as health, vision, dental, 401(k), and more.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Prior warehousing or forklift experience preferred.
• If hostler/yard duties required, experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport freight across dock area to/from trailers.
• Operate forklift, pallet jack, and hand truck as needed.
• Verify documentation matches freight description and weight.
• Secure freight inside trailers using pallets, straps, or rope.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight when necessary.
• Complete required documentation and reports.
• Assist customers with freight and freight documentation.
• Perform hostling duties if required.
• Comply with laws, regulations, and company policies.
