Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a dock worker to move freight across the dock area to and from trailers for loading to trailers.

Starting pay is $25.64 per hour and the shift runs 15:00–02:00. You will operate forklifts, pallet jacks and hand trucks, verify freight documents, secure freight inside trailers, and assist customers as needed.

This role requires safety awareness, teamwork and the ability to lift heavy freight; warehouse experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Prior warehousing or forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and handle heavy freight.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Move freight using forklift, pallet jack, and hand truck.
• Verify freight documents against descriptions.
• Secure freight inside trailers with pallets and straps.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight as needed.
• Complete required documentation and reports.
• Assist customers with freight and documentation.
• Perform hostling duties if required.
• Follow laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Perform other duties as required.
