Pratt Industries in Henderson, KY is seeking a Dispatcher Supervisor to oversee daily driver assignments, route planning, and DOT hours compliance. The role emphasizes supervisory leadership across dispatch staff and drivers, ensuring efficient operations and accurate payroll handling.

The incumbent will supervise a team, coordinate with Logistics Managers, and uphold safety policies while maintaining high service levels in a 8pm-4am shift schedule.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years experience as a Dispatcher.
• One year supervisory experience managing at least five people.
• Four years experience in Shipping and Warehousing environment or CDL Truck Driving Experience.

Mansioni

• Directly supervises all employees assigned to the department including Drivers.
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with policies and laws (training, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; conflict resolution; team building).
• Communicates effectively with drivers and customers; ensures smooth shift handoffs and ongoing service.
• Ensure DOT compliance related to driver hours of service when assigning loads and daily tasks.
• Interact with internal/external customers; monitor safety policies and incident reporting.
• Oversee payroll aspects to ensure drivers are compensated correctly.
• Coordinate fleet movement with lease vendors for repairs and maintenance; manage road breakdowns with vendors.

Formazione

High School Diploma or GED

Two years experience as a Dispatcher
