Job summary

North-Central EMS is seeking a dispatcher/call taker to support the NCEMS Communications Center. You will receive and dispatch emergency and non-emergency calls from the public EMS personnel, assess situations, prioritize needs, and coordinate internal and external resources.

This full-time night-shift position requires a customer-focused attitude, accuracy in documentation, and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer-focused attitude and professional demeanor.
• Ability to prioritize, assess situations and coordinate resources.
• Experience with dispatch or call-taking is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receives and dispatches emergency and non-emergency calls.
• Assess and prioritize situations and coordinate resources.
• Manage calls with critical thinking and multi-tasking.
• Complete required CAD documentation for transfers.
• Document interactions accurately in the CAD system.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient confidentiality.
