Job summary

IGH L Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to be a role model for individuals with developmental needs, delivering hands-on assistance with activities of daily living and promoting independence within residential settings.

The DSP will provide guidance, supervision, and physical support for self-care, nutrition, hygiene, and mobility, while maintaining accurate records and complying with IGHL safety policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid NYS driver’s license.
• SCIP and Adult CPR certification required per IGHL policy.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. at least five times per hour.
• Flexibility to work holidays and varied shifts.

Responsibilities

• Administers medication with certification.
• Assist and supervise ADLs and self-care routines.
• Provide transportation and supervision for community activities.
• Maintain logs and documentation including billing as needed.
• Participate in CPR and safety trainings.
