Amazon is seeking a Data Center Operations Manager to lead a nights team responsible for cloud infrastructure across global data centers. You will mentor staff, develop career paths, sponsor projects, and design technical solutions while coordinating on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of IT experience or Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent.
• 2+ years of people management experience
• 2+ years of operations and on-call support for data center facilities, mission critical plants, or production facilities experience

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and assign trouble tickets to data center technicians and operators
• Manage the performance of diverse teams across locations
• Develop career paths for employees and update internal tools
• Recruit and train data technicians to ensure staffing levels
• Ensure day-to-day data center ops including 7/24 shift and hardware logistics
• Drive KPI measurement and improvement of processes and tech
• Manage large scale events and act as call leader
• Improve workflows and throughput for data center operations
• Oversee policies to meet SLAs and best practices
• Coordinate on-call schedule and vacations
