Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a technology manager to lead a multi-site data center operations team. You will mentor staff, sponsor projects, and devise strategies while overseeing hardware/network diagnostics and on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of IT experience or a Bachelor’s degree in CS/engineering/math or equivalent
• 2+ years of people management experience
• 2+ years of operations and on-call support for data center facilities, mission critical plants, or production facilities

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and assign trouble tickets to data center technicians and operators
• Manage the performance of a diverse team of data center operation professionals across locations
• Develop career paths for employees and update internal tools
• Recruit and train data technicians to ensure staffing
• Ensure 7/24 shift coverage and hardware logistics
• Lead and manage large-scale outages and coordinate call leadership
• Improve workflows and drive automation in data centers operations
