Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a Shuttle Driver in Marietta, GA to transport empty trailers to warehouse locations and deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yard locations. You will operate tandem tractors and various trucks while complying with DOT regulations and safety standards.

The role requires a valid CDL A with doubles endorsement, 12+ months of driving experience, and willingness to work a Sunday-Thursday night schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience.
• 12+ months of commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Work required 3rd shift schedule, Sunday - Thursday nights.
• Pass pre-employment drug test.
• Pass road test.
• Valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card.
• Able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight.

Responsibilities

• Performs safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations.
• Reports safety issues and/or repairs required.
• Follows DOT regulations and company safety guidelines.
• Inspects trailer for proper loading and securing of freight.
• Ensures route paperwork is with tractor trailer load and available at dispatch.
• Drives and delivers trailers according to route schedule.
• Performs hook/unhook procedures per safety guidelines.
• Parks and stores tractor trailers in designated areas.
• Ensures equipment and freight are secured.
• Handles damaged goods and returns paperwork.
• Unloads equipment and removes trash as required.
• Completes daily hours-of-service logs as required.
• Maintains clean work areas in tractor and loading dock.
