Job summary

Performance Foodservice in Lancaster, PA is seeking a Shuttle Driver to transport trailers and support our distribution network with intrastate and interstate routes. You will perform safety checks, ensure loads are secure, and communicate with customers and co-workers professionally during night shifts Sunday through Thursday.

This role requires a CDL A with Doubles Endorsement and a clean MVR. You will work a 6pm until finish schedule, handling empty and full trailers, while complying with DOT

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Willing to work 3rd shift, Sunday–Thursday nights.
• Pass pre-employment drug test and road test.
• Valid DOT Health Card or able to obtain one.
• Ability to lift 60–90 lb and operate lifting equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) on tractor/trailer per DOT regulations.
• Report safety issues and required repairs.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety guidelines; secure loads.
• Maintain route paperwork with tractor-trailer load for dispatch.
• Drive and deliver trailers according to the schedule; hook/unhook per safety guidelines.
• Park and store tractors/trailers in designated areas.
• Ensure equipment and freight are secured.
• Handle damaged goods and returns and complete paperwork.
• Complete daily hours-of-service logs per regulations.
