Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking CDL-A drivers for routes including overnight and regional deliveries. The role emphasizes safe, timely delivery of products and customer interactions. You will operate tractor-trailers, perform safety inspections, and handle loading/unloading in a fast-paced food distribution environment.

Requires a valid CDL-A, 21+ years old, clean MVR, and ability to lift 60–90 pounds. Compensation reflects a $85k–$110k annual range with comprehensive benefits and growth

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 12+ months commercial driving experience required.
• Valid CDL-A license required.
• Must be 21+ years old; clean MVR past 3 years.
• Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check; road test.
• DOT Health Card current or able to secure.
• Ability to lift 10–35 lb and up to 60–90 lb as needed.

Responsibilities

• Drives tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate, interstate and OTR routes to deliver and unload food and related products.
• Communicates professionally with customers, vendors and co-workers and documents deliveries.
• Performs pre/post trip safety checks and inspects tractor/trailer to meet DOT and company safety standards.
• Delivers and unloads items, verifies orders and collects signatures or payments as required.
• Completes required paperwork and logs hours of service per DOT and company requirements.
