Job summary

Community Health Systems is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the nights shift to support nursing staff with delegated tasks, monitor patients, and maintain a safe, clean care environment.

The PCT will assist with daily living activities, record vital signs, support meals, mobility, and reporting to RN/LPN. Training in BCLS is required within 90 days; CNA/CPCT credentials preferred.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of acute care experience or nursing program enrollment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists nursing staff in delivering care and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
• Collects and records vital signs and other patient data, reporting to the RN/LPN/LVN.
• Assists with meals, feeding, bathing, grooming, linen changes, and elimination assistance.
• Assists with patient positioning, ambulation, and mobility aids.
• Collects urine/stool samples and performs blood glucose monitoring; documents results.
